  • How G O 2 became G O 2

Let me introduce us and give you a little background on how G O 2 Craft & Design started. We have been married since 2006, we have one daughter, Alexis & we are obsessed with dachshunds, hence the logo. We have three doxies, Gus, Oliver & Oscar. When we were deciding on a name for our business, we wanted to incorporate our dachshunds but didn't want people to think we sold pet items. Colin came up with the idea of G-O-2 Craft & Design and use dachshunds for the hyphens. While many think it is pronounced GO 2 Craft and Design, it is actually the letter 'G' for Gus, and the 'O-2' is for Oliver and Oscar. Colin’s creativity began when he was young and received his first LEGO set. He has been creating/building things ever since.  Shelby started off making cards with stamps and then discovered what a Cricut was. Once we bought our first Cricut we started making gifts for the holidays for family and friends. This continued for several years. We have always felt a handmade gift was better than buying something from the big box store. We heard several times that you should sell your items. At the end of 2022 we threw the idea around of starting a business. We started to look at things we’d like to make and sell and made a list. We would attend different vendor shows to see what is NOT out there. We decided our first purchase would be a laser which we purchased in March 2023, it sat on the shelf until May, (it was very intimidating) but once Colin used it for the first time, he was wondering what took him so long! We love to see what we can come up with next..... we make a great team! Shelby comes up with so many “out there” ideas and Colin always is able to create her "out there ideas!"
